A Little Vector Help

Please?

So i found my photoshop cd and thought i'd learn to use the pen tool and start to vector. Well i found an image and started it but i cant think of how i want to continue with details. If someone wants to help out or critique please do so! its the only way i can get better.

I have the image and PSD file attached if you need more.

For vector illustrations, I think you're better off using Adobe Illustrator if you have it, since it's purpose is for vector illustrations, unlike Photoshop. The one thing you can do in Photoshop before beginning the vectorizing process is to use the Cutout filter. The result will help you trace the shaded areas.
