The infamouse "beams"

Im sure most of you kno what im talkin about. These beams are in A LOT of work thats done in Illustrator. i just want to know...

...is that a stock image from illustrator?

As far as I know there isn't a preset 'extra' for the sunrays that are so popular with all the current ad styles. But with CS3 whos knows, I haven't dabbled yet. But I think they are easy enough to make, i'm trying to resist the urge to create the rays. ;p
I found a tut here for them though.

They aren't a stock image. As mmyrnana points out they are simply easy to make and popular so everyone does.
