Using WingDings?

I am used to Corel Draw where you can just bring in the one image you want out of the web/wingdings. How do I do that in Illustrator? Thanks!

it's a font, so you would type in the letter that brings up the icon you want in web/wingdings then convert it to a layer/raster? i've never used corel draw but that's how you do it in photoshop

There is probably a quicker way around it, but my method involves using the Character Map tool included as default with Windows (its somewhere over in Start > Accessories > System Tools I think). You get a full listing of all the wierd symbols in the font file, and then its just a case of forming a string/character in the box below and copy+pasting it into the application of your choice.

Thanks for your responses! I appreciate it. I think the character map probably sounds less frustrating, lol. I didn't even think of that.
