Very nice! You have definately developed the basics of vector work nicely. You may want to work a little now on your anatomy, though, as the figures in the pictures have several errors that artists will pick up on immediately. Oh, and if you get the time, try and work in some more detail in areas that can benefit from it - i.e. the hair, etc. Take a peek over at http://www.createblog.com/forums/lof...hp/t54322.html if you need a few techniques to get you started.

Yeah, I know i messed the fingers up, and also, i have a hard time with eyes and anything with very small detail. I didnt exactly have a tutorial to follow, i just kinda did it on my own by looking at others work.

Its a very nice cartoony style. Like Man1c M0g said you need to look at anatomy more though. Very stylistic, I like it.

Looks pretty good! I'd try putting some more shadows on the bodies though. not to make it "realistic", just 2 bring up a little more depth... ^_^

Very nice. how long have you been doing vector art? I find it requires a different mindframe then other types of art. From your 2 pieces I'm guessing that your already draw; they both look like drawings. I disagree with some of the other comments that think you need more detail. I think that the simplicity of you work is a cool style for vector art. What I would focus on improving is your shapes. Here and there they look abit warped. I.e.: The shorts in both pictures. The more you do vector, the more you brain gets used to the geometry and I think your images will mature in sophistication.

Pretty good first attempt. I would seriously loose the gradients though.

Many new people add gradients because they fell that the scene looks to empty, that is the wrong frame of mind to have. If you are making a simple illustration, it is all about getting these things right. Composition and colour, which is alot harder than it sounds.

Talking

I think it looks great! Vectors are cerainly harder than alot of things, and to do something like this is wonderful. great job and keep up the great work.

" my opinon to the negative critics of any art....who made you an art critic, all art is beautiful, everyone has their own style, sometimes what you may think is done wrong or not right is yes your opinion, but the art may be the expression of the artist, on how he or she wants their piece to look. We have enough negative and boring things in this world we should embrace everything creative, and beautiful" ""gets off soap box.""

K thats my little peace i feel much better... love the gradients you used, I feel it gives it the little edge it needs.

I like the theme, disco. Reminds me alot about the "hed kandi" styles.
Thumbs up! keep on working on these kind of vector designs!
