Auto web sizing

I have a friend who is setting up a website with Pageplus3 pro. Yep ok, thats what he is using, it works not badly but there are one or two points that really let it down. I tried in vain to see if there was an auto sizing to the html scripts but there were none. He has set his page width to I think about 1022pix for widescreen. I was desperately trying to think how or what the html script was for setting it up to auto size to peoples screens. He doesn't want to redo all his hard work of course and reduce the size of his pages.

I know the info is in your heads just need to extract it

Thanxs

To do it properly, your friend needs to investigate fluid layouts using CSS:

CSS Fluid layout tutorial | Now CSS

Don't know how that would integrate with PagePlus, though (I'm not familiar with that software).

Thanks Tamlin, I know there is a way in HTML but I have forgotten completely. But that is interesting site info thanks. As for PP3 it has many limitations, Komposer has better concepts and thats free

If your friend is using the dreaded "tables" for layout, he can set them to 100% width, instead of a pixel size, and they will adjust to fit the browser window of the viewer.

You really shouldn't be using tables for layout in 2009. Tables for layout is 1990 coding. CSS and xHTML is absolutely the way to learn today.
