Dreamweaver CS3 Freezing on Uploading Files

Has anyone ever have this problem of Dreamweaver CS3 freezing when uploading a file or multiple files to the remote server?

Mine just started doing that and it's nearly impossible to work in that condition, I have to force quit everytime I uploaded a file.

Anyone has a solution to that?

I really appreciate any suggestions and tips! Thanks!

I use GoLive and also had similar problem. So I think it´s better if you use a different FTP program. There are several free ones if you check on Google. I use WS-FTP, mostly they are very easy to use.

This sounds more like a server communciation error...

I suggest setting Dreamweaver to Passive FTP if you have not already done this.

You can open your FTP window in the Results pane to see what responses your server is getting.

You may also want to check your system for malicious software... sometimes virus and the like can interfere with outgoing communications on FTP ports.

have you patched your copy of dreamweaver recently? mine keeps crashing on certain php scripts, but the latest patch resolved that.
