im working on a site for school, i used a web site tutorial. i created the page in adobe photoshop, sliced it, then entered the images into tables, the thing is, for my navi bar and my web creators bar the background image stays, now on my I-frame i used the following codeing (this is the whole code for the I-Frame)

<table width=580 border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0>
<tr>
<td><img src="http://www.freewebs.com/atorebka7/images/iframe.gif" width=580 height=25></td>
</tr>

<div align="center"></div>

<td rowspan="1" background="http://www.freewebs.com/atorebka7/images/iframecontent.gif">

<IFRAME name="frame" src="http://www.freewebs.com/atorebka7/main.htm"
frameBorder=1 allowtransparency="true" background-color="transparent" width="100%"
height="370">
</iframe>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><img src="http://www.freewebs.com/atorebka7/images/iframebottom.gif" width=580 height=25></td>
</tr>
</table>

now when ever i hit view page in broswer, the backgound color for the I-frame dosent show. this has to be complete by next friday so im hopeing for a lil help, if need be ill send the whole site code.

What browser are you using?

It would be helpful if you could post a link to the site so the we can view the problem first hand.

Mike.

I'm using Safari on a Mac and the iFrame background for all three links is solid orange. Looks fine to me!

Ok, I've attached two screen shots...

One from Firefox which shows an Orange Background in the iframe and one from Explorer which shows a White Background in the iframe.

Are either of them what you are looking for?

I assume firefox shows correctly (as it usually does) with the Orange Background. To get this to work in Explorer, you need to define the background color in the source document for the iframe. So, in main.htm, you need to add:

body { background-color: #ff6f11; }

to your CSS.

If that's not what you're after... please let me know what colour the iframe should be...

I fixed the problem, u see, i used a CSS document to det the background color black, so i juss created another CSS document and defined it with orange background, then placed it in each of the I-frame pages.

Thanks for the help though
