Question .:Basic CGIs

Hi peeps, i need to find out two things:

1. First, how to add a join mailing list link on my webpage.
2. Is it possbile to disable the save command on the file menu of any brower?

it's javascript, not java, and what has that scriptlet got to do with mailing lists?

you can't disable the save function on the browser.

Yeah, call me crazy, butI don't know a whole lot about javascript, but I'd say that little snippet of code would just close any window that loaded it. Kind of pointless if you ask me.

As for mailing lists, try Hotscripts. The link goes to Perl scripts (CGI files), but they've got other programs and languages listed if you prefer.

I managed to figure out the problem about the mailing list. I didn't realise that one actually has to create a database on the FTP server to store the e-mails plus a few other things e.g admin functionalities

@ scrowler i tend to think that it is possible to disable the save command coz there are some sites which display a prompt window with the msg "The site could not be saved"...beats me though.

thats what i meant...........and im positive you can cause there are somewebsites for example mofunzone.com that doesn't allow you to right click at all or save in any way....

you can't right click, but i think it's imposible not to be able to save it, never found a site i couldn't save in one way or the other. even mofunzonde;com can be saved in the easiest way possible
