Hey, i need to run php scripts on my Windows based machine. Where can i download a suitable php engine and how do i install the same? I already tried hotscripts.com but my query is bringing up some weird stuff...

Well, just install IIS (that's window's own webserver), and then you can add PHP via some of the nifty installers over at
http://www.php.net/downloads.php

You can always use
XAMPP
too. Apache + everything else you need in one simple package. Unzip and run.

I always set up Apache, PHP from php.net, and MYSQL for my webserver. Never tried ISS. Guess I need to try it one day heh.
EDIT: I just noticed that's what XAMPP is -- looks sweet. I'll have to try that one next time.

I use WAMP5 and it works really fine, not need to configure anything. I mean just 3 but it's done via graphic interface.
