Password Protected Pages

Ok, A part on my site is going to be called Treasure Box. This part of the site will only be available to family and friends, which are a section specifically for my son and regular pictures. Where would I start this? I havent started making the pages but I wanted to know where to start.. I dont want a seperate new browser opening up, when the link is clicked i want it to open up in the iframe where all the other content will be loading. they input the password and user name and voila the pages open for them.. any help? Thanks in advanced..

They have a fairly nice tutorial on using .htaccess and .htpassword to protect websites. This I believe is the most secure and easy way to do it.

For a password encryptor that you may need try:
http://www.kxs.net/support/htaccess_pw.html

It will give you the syntax for your username and encypted password.
