iframe history.back()

i'm working on a site that should have a dynamic back button, and its contents will be displayed in an iframe. i'm trying to put this javascript-back-button OUT of the iframe, but it doesn't seem to work with firefox...
i've tryed with the parent.frames, document.getElementById and the document.frames ways....

anyone can help? pleeeeease.... ^_^

If it works with all browsers BUT firefox, it sounds like one of Firefox's less than fabulous Javascripting bugs. Here's a bug report for what I think you are describing: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=211715

Have you tried frames['framename'].history.back(); ? I can't test it in IE right now, but a quick search on Google revealed that this should work in all browsers, provided that you give the iFrame both name and id attributes.
