Hiya Guys/Gals! I was recently checking out
TomsHardware and came across their new keyword advertising system called Intellitxt. Literally what this system does is process text, isolate predefined phrases, and then create little popup windows which show when the mouse passes over them. Its quite neat, and I was thinking that a similar system would be a real boon to Biorust. Just imagine, for example, scrolling over a link for 'rectangular marquee tool', and a little window pops up with a small picture of the tool and a pithy description of its functionality. There could even be an optional link to a tutorial on the tool if one exists.
Now, the problem is that although tooltip-style systems DO exist, they work almost exclusively on hard-coded hyperlinks. I'd want this system to be dynamic, EXCLUDE already-predefined hyperlinks, and work on some sort of text pre-processor basis. Also, i'd want to maintain the nice Intellitxt-style layout, because its neat and easy to follow.
Does anyone know of any scripts out there that can do this sort of thing (or be easily modified to this functionality?).
