PHP Help, random stuff

For one of my website i'm making a sig where you click and basically information is sent, and applied back to the image.

I'm new to PHP, I realize the purpose and I can understand a few of the tags...any ideas as to where I would start in terms of this idea?

It's sorta going to be an interactive animal, click on feed or something, bring you up a page that gives you more detailed info and stats and says You fed the animal! And yadda yadda.

well,PHP can help you do this by use the tag <a href>
here`s an example:

wehn u click on that link,it will give the variable to the current page

That helps alot, but I still want to find out how for one click to affect something else

Those codes above is very useful,you can use it for pagination,navigation,ect...
