no, synth, I have known him for a while before. he is just that way. went and got a car alarm but on the burban, went back to work. the rental place was thare and took all day couldnt get it running. it seems that one: they were upset that the red fuel was in it. and two: the fuel in the other tank was gasoline. not diesel. we didnt do that. it was done before we got it. as i left for the night, my boss asked/told me to "think about what my mistake had cost him" in his logic, if i had gotten fuel sooner this whole thing would have been avoided. partially true, but then the next cutomer would have gotten the gasoline in the tank blamed on us and i figure it would have cost us more. if he ever asks, my answer will probably be "well since i went away during your fit, i figure i saved you about $40." then i will probably get some more time off
moods: this is how im going to handle it, my answer to him will now be "youre right (name withheld), youre always right. (with a sarcastic note)
today he barked at me for something and my only response was "whatever you say"

luckily I have never had to deal with a boss quite that bad in my working career. Sounds like maybe he is like many police officers that develop a ****ty attitude towards many people because of the idiots they put up with day in and day out. They become nasty, prejudice and lack compassion for most people. Perhaps he has just grouped you in with the other idiots he deals with because of not knowing you better and hopefully it will improve as he realizes you are not like them... let's hope at least

You are quite right. Even Scrotum doesn't sufficiently describe that ... male carbon based unit. I think an introduction is in order - his nose, your fist. :evil grin:
How are you going to handle this?

here is an example of what a scrotum my boss is: today, the company rental truck wouldnt start, it was low on fuel but not out. it had some in it. i looked in the tank and saw it. but it only started and ran like crap for a few seconds and then died. it has a seccond tank that has a valve on it to allow both tanks to flow together, the valve was closed. I opened it to even out the tanks. he came in all yelling and such, said that the better not have run out of gas. i said there was still some in it but it just wont start, he told me that i should have gotten gas for it sooner, thet i shouldnt be so stupid as to park the ruck inside when it was out of gas. I told him i didnt drive it into the shop. that i had parked it outside and it was running fine then. somehow it was still my fault that it wont start. there is a big red sign next to the fuel cap that says "warning: do not use red fuel" (red fuel is dyed red so as to show that the taxes were paid for allready its for industrial and agricultural use.) I asked him about it, thinking perhaps that may be the problem, maybe there was a reason other than the taxes not to use red fuel. he called me a dumbs**t. I asked him why he has to yell at me all the time, and treat me like a piece of crap. he told me to "go home, get outta here, I'm tired of looking at your ugly face!"
the truck is still in the shop, it probably has something different wrong with it.
he will find that out or find out what is wrong with it and then call me and demand that i get my ass back to the shop. no explanation or apology, just another day in paradise.

that would suck STM... hopefully they will get more English speaking workers. I used to live in L.A., CA. when I was young. I remember over half of the students were taught in Spanish and rest in English. I don't remember learning much there other than numbers in Spanish. I got in a fight with a Mexican boy and both sent to office. He explained his story in Spanish... I explained mine in English and was pissed because I had no clue what he said and couldn't defend myself... I felt like I was a foreigner to my own country even as a kid
