Heh, so many good ideas.. however my decision is one of my personal morals, there are many ways to handle the situation.
I could go to the Labor Enforcement office, and tell them, of course the company would face a nice little fine (up to $5,000) or risk having to close.. however I wish to work in the web design field, so I don't see the use in pissing off people who maybe connected in the field and cause me later problems..
I could also skip the lame arse that hired me, and write a nice letter to the owner, who is out of town on vacation atm, since the guy did act totally unprofessional on the phone, and made several statements that were quite out of line.
I could forget the company, and go on with life.. which I most likely will do.
I could also talk to the lame arse.. but what is the point of having to deal with someone who treated my like crap.
I mean, it is low to tell a 17 year old, who has no idea about working at all that they are wasting your time, time that you can hire someone else with.. after that same morning shaking their hands and welcoming them on board. The point of it all, is I was busting my arse to work there, doing a job that he should of been doing..
