Question Bing Versus Google

Hello,

I just registered this forum while surfing and I’m curious about what you think about Bing.
According to some news it already started to overtake Yahoo. But it seems to me they can’t beat Google. I think more creative ideas and some vision is needed to overtake Google.

Besides of that there’s adsense and adword industry. Google is creative and established firm, Bing brings nothing new to us.

Not according to a recent article in The Guardian (UK newspaper):
Quote:
Google leads the US Search market with 64%, while Yahoo has 20% and Microsoft trails in third with an 8% share. Worldwide, the figures are even worse. An analysis from Net Applications suggests that Microsoft currently has just 3% of the global market, trailing Yahoo's 9.6% and Google's commanding 81%.

Here's a link to research conducted by comScore. Part of the title says "Microsoft Sees Gains in U.S. Searcher Penetration and Share of Search Result Pages During the Second Week of Bing’s Debut"
Bing Continues to Show Growth in Search Activity, According to comScore - comScore, Inc

that link was supposed to provide "cool" things that Bing offers? Really? Are you sure? Looks like just a link to Bing and don't see anything "cool" that is being offered. Further investigation see's nothing "cool" that isn't already offered all over the web. The only "cool" thing I see is nice imagery used for backgrounds on your site pages. Asthethitically it looks nice but... when it comes down to the "meat" of it... there is nothing new or "cool" to be found but I am sure it your duty to make us all think its "cool" stuff as part of the "outreach team" but really... what's so cool about it?

In my opinion... you need to give us a reason to use Bing over Google and I have yet to see that. Its like getting a sandwich from your favorite deli that has been around for years... why would you go someplace else for the same exact sandwich? Surely you wouldn't ditch the old deli just because your sandwich is covered with a nicer looking wrap at the new deli?

The phrase that comes to mind is "re-inventing the wheel"...

PS: I think the original post was a lame attempt at spamming, but I removed the spam links in the poster's sig.

ahh... yes... how can we make the wheel more 'round' lol

so this is just another social playground for Google team to argue with Bing team in effort to win the battle of search engines? lol

yep... I have cooliris on my browsers and I have it on my photoblog (but it only seems to work on the carousel strip at the bottom). It is neat and great way to browse through lots of photos quickly like on Flickr. I have discovered that it also bypasses some size limitations enforced by Flickr and other sites and allows users to maybe snag a higher-res version of a photo than you intended
