I was wondering since i am keeping a little blog thingy myself. Maybe it's just the in-activity of the members, but it seems like not everyone knows you have blogs here.

I noticed one of my entries having over 30 views, for no reason at all.

Anyway, would be cool if more people would keep a blog, especially people that are here to learn!

im re-writing my blog site so i can have a place to post my troubled rantings and ravings

so seems silly to duplicate that here i ahve read yours though from time to time. this site is great for learners and advanced alike im not sure why theres not more activity in the forums.

Well, i personally can't be bothered yet with making my own blog. I think it's great to have the option to have one here. But noone seems to care about it. Shame.

reading your posts Sami... I don't get it. You complain because lack of readers yet you said you have 30 views to one post. What are you looking to get out of blog here? Insightful comments made for each of your posts? Think of a blog as a personal journal... its more for your benefit to release your thoughts and ideas. If you are doing it only in hopes of having it read by the masses with interaction... well... you might want to use the forum instead.

I frequent many forums and website other than this one plus work 40 hours a week and do freelance work on the side not to mention various family obligations and time spent shooting photos. I have hard enough time keeping my 2 or 3 blogs updated as is. When I do have time though... I check out ones that interest me. I don't always get comments on my posts and I rarely check to see how many read... its not important to me.

Why do you have multiple blogs anyway??
I'd like some ineraction. I got a couple comments on here..but most interest went to blog entries i didn't care much about.

If you're going to keep your blog updated, you might as well just consider making your blog with word, or hell, make a book out of it.

And yeah, sure i know it takes time. But only moods4cattle is keeping his own blog aside from me. I certainly would be interested in reading other peoples blogs here.

Sami, the blog section here is pretty new,

even more new than the battle section. The option wasnt really popular back when it came out, so the visitors to blogs faded away, as did many blogs.

Some where strong enough (or stubborn enough) to stay up. But there isnt as much attention for the blog section. Maybe we should promote it more, but than there have to be more blogs....

umm.... for "multiple" reasons... like different thoughts and different content

Why do you want comments to your "preferred" blog posts only? Maybe you should tag the posts you wanted commented on something like "validate me by commenting this post please" so people know which post to comment on

I never had a blog before I started mine on BioRust. I have no idea why anyone would read my mind numbing ramblings, but a few misguided masochists do.

Lol that's not what i am after.
It just would be nice if you could ask something that the visitors could comment on.

again... sounds like something you should use forum for... forums were designed more for interaction than blogs and probably get more visits

The General Discussion forum here is described as "The forum for general chit-chat, anecdotes, and inane babble." which, as far as I can see, is the ideal place for questions and/or comments about anything and is perfectly adequate for the purpose. I suspect that the only reason we now have a blog section here is that it comes with the vBulletin software anyway. Personally speaking, I very rarely read the blog section and I would never consider creating one myself: I can't imagine anyone else would be interested in the minutiae of my daily life - it barely interests me!
