only reason I started blogging (not the blog here)... was partly due to marketing/promotional reasons to establish my moniker, net presence, abilities, networking, and also as release for my thoughts, frustrations, hopes, and desires but those got tossed aside when I considered the effect my personal opinions might have on the business and promotional aspect. As an artist that tries to think outside the box most of the time, I realized my views and ideas are often not the popular ones lol.
I also thought that maybe if I were able to communicate my passion and thirst for art, design and related material... it might make some more comfortable in working with me or requesting services. It seems to work with non-net friends, family and work acquaintances... that is how I got the Catrow.com freelance project and my current web project.
And... blogging is how some of my family keep up with me now as well. I get emails from time to time about stuff they read or seen. So its become sort of useful to me but I still find it hard to update as often as some do.
... and I think I would find a Tamlin blog interesting too
