Unfortunately i lost my job in december 2006 , and 112 job applications later, im still looking and had only 3 replys.Everything in my area is nursing and care homes so when a job does become available thats not in that business its gets so many applicants they dont go through them all plus a big company in town has just got rid of 600 staff.
Still keep smiling as a friend keeps telling me.
BUT in my time off ive been able to see my son play basketball for his school and win the county championship, go kitesurfing with my nephew and become a kite bitch, and spend more time on BIORUST and photoshop.
I would like to do some design or print work but without the qualifications they dont give you a second look, so ive been helping some people with artwork and business packs get them started so its work in my portfolio.
KEEP SMILING

Ouch. Best of luck to you finding a job. Maybe you could turn the photoshop stuff into a business somehow?
I'm an entrepreneur, currently doing page layouts for third-class mail. It's to get people to get dental implants. Should be pretty lucrative. I was doing powerpoints for the same person before.

I work for a small (but growing!) design and marketing company in sunny Rotherham. I originally worked for a fire and safety company, but they opened a marketing / design arm of the business, so the big-bosses wife stole me from being a lowly 'operations assistant' to a mighty 'graphic designer'.
Thats about it really.

I’m a gigolo on the side. No, wait, that’s a lie. I temp sometimes when I hit a slump and just can’t bring myself to go to Cap Hill and use the camera. (Manic depression and/or ADD, I suppose) Sadly, I can’t quite sneak away for the Coast Guard stuff so easily.

My main position is tech support for a horrible web program called Albridge that is used to consolidate people's investments.
My secondary position includes: graphic design, layouts, ad deisgn, programming and such.
Fortunately, the first position has a lot of downtime
