Game: Enemy Territory (RtCW | Q3 Mod)

Situation: I study the game engine and teach myself how to trick jump. I do crazy ****, in other words. I worked hard to learn it, and can do things that most players can't do.
Result: I go to online games to do these amazing jumps.

Situation: I do a very simple trick jump that wins a map.
Result: <Fimus> Good Game! <n00b> OMG WTF H4X0R KIK HIM
*** Connection to server lost.

Situation: I do a very hard (for most trick jumpers, easy for me [because of all the practice]) jump that wins a map.
Result: <Fimus> Good Game! <n00b> OMG WTF TAS IMPOSSIBLE H4X0R NO WUN CUD JUMP LYK DAT KIK HIM
*** Connection to server lost.

For those of us who play ET, the rather easy jump is Oasis WallJump, and the rather hard one for most is the Fueldump Base Jump (on the roof of the axis spawn and into the objective).

Don't you hate n00bs?

Only once in a while do people recognize that these things took me hours of practice to learn, and I should be praised for it, not kicked from the server by mind-limited people.

This is the ONE thing i hate about being in a clan!

there was a guy on our clan server tonight and he said we were cheating just coz we were kicking his ass (OK so i did spawn kill him a few times which was fun but i did feel guilty after a while hehe)

I don't personally HATE noobs as we all were noobs once but i don't like it when they start moaning and saying people are cheating! The clan i'm in dosen't even allowed cheats or mods or anything that's not the original game!!

To get back to your question no i don't hate noobs but i do hate it when poeple moan just coz they aren't as good as you! I for one spend most of my time playing as i don't have a job due to ill health so i will be better at some! (EVEN IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF) Like you say it takes time and practice to become a worthy player of any online game (Trust me put me on UT2004 and i suck!)

anyway that's what i think a long answer but that's it hehe

and After I got good and stuff all it was was "OMFG H4X0R KIKIKIKIKIK " It really blows, especially when you find a nice server and get into your groove, eh?

some are good the ones who are trying to learn and ask you how to do **** so they can get better but yah the gay ignorant useless ones can go die...WC3 Xp and CS is bad for that they go into pro games and end up getting on your team and your ****ed...then you tell them that they shouldnt have came in and they start calling you **** and all this...i dunno the ones who are good should get attention ... the ones who are bad...theres always the squelch command for

Uggh... I quit playng CS for that reason, that most of the players would sh*t talk you, and then you get kicked. But i have nothing against the ones who are willing to give respect and learn.

i play cs from time to time. im in a clan, but i think i got kicked for inactivity

. but i still wear the tag

anyways. im not pro, but im decent. the servers i play on are anti-nub. pretty much servers for people who know how to play, and want to get better. when nubs come in and start crying about "h4x0!2z" we just kick them, end of complaint

Even some established clans are total pains in the behinds sometimes! Take Sunday night for example - my clan waited 45minutes for the opposing team to turn up... and when they did they moaned like hell about the ping. The admin of the match (this was a proper league, so we had an admin), gave us a default win on the first map for being messed about so much, and we agreed to play on their server for the second game. Well.... their server was really bad, and we couldn't even see our own projectiles! Still we soldiered on and ended up winning 9-0. Then they insisted we play the first map again on their crappy server, despite the fact that we already won... and they weren't for giving up moaning about it either, even when the admin told them to STFU and entered the match results into the league website. They are *STILL* going on about it 3 days later too!

I played a clan like that once. TWL has no admin present in DoD at least. We play on this clan's server, which was a LISTEN server, not even a hosted one, some guy in the game made it from ingame on his DSL(gg) connection. One of our guy's steam id was only marked as 0:0:******, not STEAM:0:0:*******, so they kicked us all. gg :/!

Edit: I went to check the score of when we played on our server after that(admin said they would forfiet if they didn't), Typical scores range from 200-100 somewhere in there. Final score: 493-10 us.

personally i prefer less established leagues. ex: OLG over CAL. CAL is loaded with serious nubs who cry about everysingle little mishp. in OLG, we play for fun. you get to know the other teams in the leauge (being MUCH smaller) and everyone has fun with a considerably less amount of whining and clans trying to overturn matches for pointless things

Well... Am I glad I'm in a decent squad.

We don't moan, bitch or accuse them in any way when we are in the server during the match. If we have something to complain about we do it after the match and we only talk to their squadleader. That is the best and most decent way to do it...

I hear ya guys. Ever got kicked from a server for killing a guy who has a temp-mod 2 times in a row? I was called cheater and kicked. WTF? And my team wasnt even winning as it was composed of complete noobs who couldnt even c4 a building imo. This everything is going on in cnc renegade.

As for clan ladders: We had a clan match on original war with another clan. Of course the silly "OMGF ch34tzorz!1" routine happened when me and my friend were killing the other two seeing as they had no skill whatsoever. Just to say this is getting funnier by the day as there are NO cheats for original war. No ones bothered to make them. But still my clan somehow cheats on that game. Go figure.

Hating newbies is like hating learner drivers- unfair, bias and just plain not nice.

I don't hate mewbies because I don't hate any body and I treat others how I would like to be treated when I can. If a newbie starts asking 'dumb questions' and such I keep my patience with them for as long as possible. After all 'if you don't ask questions then you dont know why' but ofcourse there is the matter of sheer annoyances coming on.. Then its okay to get annoyed, when they are diliberataly being ignorant to get their way and such (like the 'he's cheating- kick him!!!' thing)

But what Fimus is trying to explain is that he doesn't hate n00bs... but that he hates n00bs who complain all the times when they get shot. They think they are good and as soon as they get shot by someone they call him a cheater... I hate it too... but I usually keep my mouth shut and endure the shame of being called a cheater. That's why I installed an anti cheat tool on my PC... as soon as someone calls me a cheater and I get kicked I contact the host or mod and I let them see my anti cheat tool... usually if it is a fair mod/host he lets me in again...

Cool. I don't play any of those multi-played games, and I hardly ever play on-line games. (Althoguh I do sometimes go and play some sharade like games, its not often)

I'm an introvert so I find situations where there are more than 6(about, less is better) people very uncomfortable and tend to go mute.
