Cool Graphic Design Challenge = Prize

I have a new mix cd that is being professionally replicated and I chose the cd face to be printed CMYK in 3 colors. Although it looks 3 colors the company is telling me it's full color.

If you are familiar with Photoshop and can edit the file I will send out the finished cd to you in the mail along with a Poster and DVD. Below is an email correspondence from the company describing the issue.

The file can be downloaded from here and can be emailed to this email address-> mr.baesic@gmail.com with your name and snail mail address to receieve the prize.

Thanks for the help!

-------------------

Dear Brad,

When you are looking at it, you are correct it is Black, White and Blue.

The colors to make-up the black, white and blue are CMYK. This is 4 color process or full color.

I will need your artwork with the black isolated to the black channel, and the blue isolated to the cyan channel.

We they get ready to print, the directions would be Black = Black, Cyan = PMS 653 Blue, + White Flood

I have attached a PDF of PMS 653.

Feel free to have your graphic designer call me.

Thanks!
Shelly

The PSD contains 2 Type layers that use specialized fonts (BlueHighway Bold and Coolsville), so if these fonts are not installed on someone else's computer they will get substituted - which probably won't give you the result you want. If you want to keep the original font information you'll need to rasterize those type layers before you distribute the PSD.

Thank you for your help! The fonts are available for download via this link.

Would rasterize be done to all layers?

The company is NationWide Disc and my customer service rep is Shelly (1-866-704-3579) Anybody here can give a call on Monday if you need details, just refer to the project as "Not Seen On TV". The difference between printing 3 colors vs. full color is $100!!!

That's the prize. No graphics tablets on offer. Or sports cars. Or cuddly toys...

I hate to say it, but you're probably much better off creatign this in inDesign or Illustrator. By setting the colors to CMYK (which by default mixes 4 colors) and using the filters, you are essentially making this a multi-color graphic.

If you set it up in illustrator you would have more control over the output colors.
