Music
I listen to most genres, apart from R n B. Some of the best music to photograph landscape work to is the album Dark side of the Moon by Pink Floyd as it is one of the best albums ever made.
But in on my photography course during lesson i often find myself listening to Rage Against the Machine very loud on my MP3 player.
A few other good bands to work to are ACDC, Black Sabbath, LED ZEPPELIN!!, Hendrix along with a few others (i could type an essay)

Lately I've been getting into three bands mostly:
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl album is by far the greatest ever
Brian Jonestown Massacre - Psychedelic indie rock FTW!
Radicalface - Just one guy mixing a bunch of tracks, makes me want to build a statue for him

When I need to invoke my creative mojo I'll have the jazz fusion guitar of Englishman, Alan Holdsworth playing as a background to my brainwaves. His stuff is the audio version of modern visual art where the atypical is typical. he ranges from traditional jazz sounds to stuff that's "way out there, man."
His website
Great clip from YouTube

Leonard Cohen is the man. So long, Marianne.
I've been digging Smog/Bill Callahan on the whole L.C. tip. But lately, Elliott Smith has been kickin my ass. Pitseleh is the most beautiful song ever written....
P.S. I love the Beach Boys too belldandee, although it's been Wild Honey that's been doing it for me....

Thanks for the reminder Nikon Erik! I used to listen to Allan a lot, in the 70-ties. When he played with Soft machine. Then he did some strange albums, so I totally forgot about him. It was really nice to see he´s back with his fantastic butterfly fingers!

I find 'Ma Vlast' By Bedrich Smetena is tremendously good. It is a very powerful classical piece of music. If you need to know more then email me on littlemilton567@hotmail.com and I may be able to describe it to you.
I do know that most people probably wont like classical music, but I find that it can get you in more moods than you're ready for!
I recommend that you should try to get this piece, if it's the last thing you do ;-)

I like rockabilly thats aggressive, with grestch guitars and upright slap bass. My husband is the singer in a band in Australia that entertains at Hot Rod and special interest vehicle events with that style of high energy music.
