Metal Gear Solid

Quite possibly the best game I've ever played. I just love everything about it.

Metal Gear Solid is easily the best single player game ever made. MGS2 I almost completed was great as well, and MGS2: Substance which I own and never started sounded awesome.

Th best game ever made all-round is SOCOM: U.S. NAVY SEALs, which may be topped tomorrow by SOCOM 2. And I've played over 700 games and used to write reviews for a gaming site.

heh... one could argue about SOCOM

Yes MGS is an amazing game, it kinda built its own genre, and while ive never acually owned a copy of it, i have played it many times and just like everyone else i love it

Have you played SOCOM? You have to be good at SOCOM and have to have it online.

naw Ive sadly ever played SOCOM, but I didnt say it was a bad game, just that someone could argue that its the best all around game ever, just like 5-0 just did

"the best game ever" i guess is all about personal opinion.

So you are arguing that SOCOM is not the best game ever made, but you've never played it?

Anyway, of course, its all about opinion. Your not going to agree that some RPG is the best game ever made, even if it is, if you hate RPG's.

TekVex - How do you own Metal Gear Solid 3? It isn't out yet. Also, I'm going to have to disagree with you on the RPG being the best game ever. I don't like most RPGs. The entire idea is good up until the battle. If it's something besides turn-based then I'm all for the RPG genre, but when you use a clunky hit and wait system you can count me out.

I was speaking of Substance, my mistake.
I never said RPG's are the best genre, I was using it as an example.

bah rpgs are all the same to me, either theyre set in the future or the past. They all involve some trekky crap like swiping people with funny maces or swords. It also invloves spending some damn wierd currency like ruppees, or tupence, buying the odd gun, generally repetitive and BORING ALL THE WAY,

thier are some that truly stand out though such as deus ex and legend of zelda ocarina of time, because they feel like you really are Link or JC Denton. In other words they have depth.

I find single player FPS more fun than playing a straight RPG.

RPG - Great for someone with time and a love for gaming, especially when you fidn a great one.

Shooter - Great ot be able to go and coem from, but have lots of fun, but you need some skill and love for gaming.

Sports - Fun when your just chillin with your homies and want to do some multiplayer or just vs, the computer or online when your looking for some fun.

That's how I look at it, the rest is wack or for little kids.
