I had a good day

A couple of weeks ago I took a picture of a local shop located on the 101
(Pacific Coast Highway). After doing some extensive work on it I finally decided that it was complete. I printed it up and took it to the shop owner as a gift. He was quite impressed with it and informed me that he would add it to his gallery, which is a rather impressive collection of various art forms relating mostly of surf photography and other beach activities. He then agreed to hang several other art works of mine in his "gallery". You gotta start somewhere.

Attached is the before and after shot. A couple of things to point out, on the upper left hand corner I replaced a portion of his sign with what I now use as my signature. I also added my initials to the back of the stop sign on the far right side.

The down side is that I am being transferred to Hawaii (down side?) just as I made this contact. I am hoping that I stumbled upon a marketing technique that I will be able to use in the future.

These are high res pictures so be patient if you are using dial up.

Let me know what you think

Opps the pictures didn't get there yet. Ok I had to reduce them way down in size.

I like the way that the (real) bicycle leaning up against the Stop sign in the bottom right corner echoes the graphic of the bicycle in your logo at top left. I realise you probably didn't plan it that way, but it works!

Tamlin, that is why you really need to get your work out there. Your eye for composition and detail is uncanny.
