Stupid question I know

I know this may to many of you be a stupid question, but at my age of life I can't keep up with all the comp/internet info. What is a WIKI and how will it be of benefit to me and this web site?

As to what it is, this explains it pretty succinctly: Wiki: What Is Wiki

As to how it benefits this site, it was (I think) originally born out of this thread: http://forums.biorust.com/biorust-sp...edge-base.html (BioRUST Knowledge Base)
