Your Turn
After seeing people manipulate one of Tamlin's photos, I got to thinking;
It'd be great if once a week (or every few days) someone could submit a photo or other form of art to share with the rest of the community for the sole purpose of manipulating in their own way.
Then, we could take a vote for the best entry and the winner would be the next in line to submit something for manipulation or that person chooses an artist to submit something. Votes would be displayed in the forums after three days from the original post of the item. This would give the participants ample time to birth their own style into someone else's art.
To know what item is up for manipulation in the gallery, we could name that item "manipulate" so people know.
Also, the chosen artist to submit an entry could provide (if they wanted to) a brief idea discussing what they'd want to see done in terms of manipulation to their work.
Example 1: Manipulate in any way you wish, but do not change the color of the original image.
Example 2: Add a short story or poem and/or describing how it makes you feel.
Well, these are my thoughts on the matter, what say you?

Sounds like a great idea Dewdman...
Why don't you start it off...
Rather than using the gallery though, post the image in a Thread... (This one even).
If it gets enough activity, maybe Tamlin will make it Sticky for us!
I'm game!
Mike.

I like the idea, it really great!!
And I think you can indeed post the image here so you get to see all images.....
that would be cool. And offcourse the inventor may start off.
Everyway, I'm in!!

Well, the only thing I have as of now is a sketch of a dragon straight out of the Breath of Fire III Strategy Guide I did when the game was first released back in the days of the original PlayStation.
The art isn't totally bad, it looks almost like the original, and would look even better today if I had a decent scanner. I've always wanted to give this gem a nice final polish, but laziness is a disease and has overtaken me in that department.
I'd certainly love to see this bad boy redone in two ways: pop-art style or just a real nice paint job with a badass background, or a mixture of both.
Think color on this one. Capcom, the creators of the BoF series have always made their games as vibrant and clear as possible. Their art is amazing.
*Oh, and might I add, this isn't my best hand drawn work, I was a lot younger when this was first created*
Enjoy!

Chica, I as well have totally forgotten about this thread, and I'm the one who started it!
As for changing the color, do it up, man. It's all up to the one who posted the original image to suggest what they'd like to see done.
For anyone else wondering, go ahead and do what you'd like to the image I've submitted. Perhaps future edits should be submitted to the gallery as well.
Tamlin, would you mind making this thread sticky?

Another good idea for a thread banished due to lack of interest. Such a shame.
Here's my contribution for ya. Not that great, but not much time at the mo. Who knows, maybe it will encourage someone else to try spark some life into this forum.

That is sick, dewd! Capcom Vs. SNK?
I'm a little rusty, haven't actually played a fighter in ages, but it looks like Capcom's style, or is it solely SNK?
