A few pretty good styles right here in resources, Andy.
I appreciate your reply. I haven't had many by other members.

Oh Andy, I forgot I also put up about a good free Photoshop action site in the photoshop thread. If you try some, let us know what you think.

I am a photoshop styles nut, and I am always looking for something different. I am trying to find out how to make my own so I can have what I want. (IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO CREATE INTERESTING STYLES FOR PHOTOSHOP) But while surfing for styles a couple days ago I found this web site that is part english and in japanese there is oodles of brushes and different styles and textures. It lists many different sites to go to, so maybe you should take a look... I hope I get this address right.. (((its 1001tours.org )))). Its kind of funky you just have to click around till you find something you like. It offers illustrator plugins and other goodies too if you are interested.

as far as I know,
styles are saved layer styles, if you get my drift, so if you make a layer with like an square on it, And you open up the layer style menu(right click on the layer icon>layer style) you should be able to make exactly what you want.

Then when you're done doing that, you should try to save the style....but I'm not completely sure how that works. At this moment Im using a PC without CS2 so, but I will have a look at it when I got back to my pc.....

oh, and try to stay on topic....you could create a new thread to start with. And search the forum, the most questions have been asked before!

I think the best way to learn is to load up a pre-made style that you like and then deconstruct it. What I mean by that is, examine the settings for each individual style element, and then try turning them off one by one to see the effect on your layer content. Or you could do it the other way round - start from none and add style elements one at a time. Just make sure you have the Preview box checked so that you can see the changes on your layer content.
