This can't be real...can it?
I just found a link to this website on Digg, labelled Worst Website Ever. The thing is, this guy is supposed to be the IT & Web Design teacher at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota (and he is actually on the faculty list there - I checked)!!

I'm just hoping this is some sort of ironic post-modernist joke...but I suspect not!

Maybe... Oh i don't even know.

Maybe he teaches "by the book" aka. holding the instructions on "how to teach" ?

Hey! You can't blaim him that he cant speak english. (Altough he teaches in an english-speaking univeristy and all.) Skill to speak english is a privilege not a right as my english teacher used to tell me.

It does look a little strange. Can't figure out why he used such a small table border. Maybe it was designed for smaller screen.

My neice, thought she does have a degree in engineering, teaches at a charter school in Philadelphia with no degree in teaching what so ever. This school is for under privilaged, city kids, multi lingual etc. etc. etc. (fill in the blanks)
It depends on the credentials of the school. Ivey league?

Maybe the university has a total lack of funds, cant afford Dreamweaver or something like that and he was using some free online thing like geocities.... but then again, I did better than that when I was 14 with that very same software all those years ago when it was a beta...
Hmm ok, weak excuss, I'll stop trying to justify a reason for how horrible it is lmao!

Hey I got an idea, someone e-mail him, tell him his site looks like a steaming hot lump of trash and offer YOUR website design services... oh and charge him for it a lot! We look forward to seeing some REAL design at work guys.

Dont forget, £ > $ so charge lots!!

I used to work with a girl who was an instructor at a local college. She taught web design and at the time, I had 0 background in it and knew as much as she did (only I actually could back up the design part as well).

She was slightly better than that guy, but not much. She got fired fairly quickly from her job with us, but she's the main reason I'll never take any courses from that college.

You know the saying: Those who can, do. Those who can't... teach.

Now I don't really agree with that (father and sister we're/are excellent teachers) but in this instance it may fit.

It looks like he's taken the site down - probably as a result of being pilloried on sites like Digg. I'll close this thread (in case some bright spark decides to resurrect it in a couple of years time).
