Changing screen resolution

I am on the look out for some software that will change my screen resolution by a clicking on an icon or keyboard action. I always use 800 x 600, but sometimes plugins etc require a 1024 x 768 resolution. Switching between the two on WinXP is a bit of a pain. Any suggestions? Preferably free if possible.

Hi Tony,

Don't know if this'll do the trick (I haven't tested it myself): Resolution Changer :: 12noon

Of course, if you're into programming you could always build your own screen res changer with one of these blocks of code:

VB6: Change Screen Resolution

VB.NET: http://www.getdotnetcode.com/gdncsto...?ProductID=109

(the last one isn't free, but it only costs £1.50).

Send a message via MSN to notjustgraphics
We use NVidia graphics cards at work, and (for no particular reason) all of my machines at home happen to be ATI...

All of my machines allow me to change the screen resolution on the fly by clicking an icon in the system tray and selecting the desired resolution...

Perhaps you may want to look into the software available for your graphics card before adding third-party utilities?

Just a tip...

Mike.

Thanks Mike have looked for the graphic card updates etc. Having also looked at the other contenders the VividSwitcher does the trick easily.
