Hmm...strange question. I work with a Romanian guy, and he's pretty cool, but I guess just one person doesn't represent a whole nation. Why do you want to know?

odd question :P

The few romanian people i have met have all been solid but as has been mentioned it hardly defines a nation

And you can't fault the country where transylvania is!

Come on, you can't honestly be looking for a sterotype of Romanian people?

I know a handful of people from Canada, they like to drink Beer, love hockey and have no background in design. I assume that means that all people in Canada drink Beer, love hockey and have no expertise in design.

I am good friends with a few Romanian girls and a couple of guys, that live in Romania. All of them are nice people and taught me how to swear in Romanian lol. However, they all hate Romania as a country and everything connected to it, as they are attracted to countries such as England, France and Italy.

The media outside of Romania doesn't exactly paint a good picture of the country, but most people are not as judgemental.

I'm a big fan of a number of Romanian footballers and I was going to go to Bucharest last year to see my team play my Romanian friends team, Steaua, in the UEFA Cup Semi Final.

As for art and such like, there are a number of big name Romanian graphic designers and illustrators that are getting coverage in the UK, which is good for both Romanian designers to get exposure in places they wouldn't normally, while the people in these places get to see the different styles new wave Romanian designers and illustrators use. If you want to check out some Romanian work, I could scan in a few things for ya.

mmmmm.... beer! (Note: I am Canadian :P)

I sincerely think this thread is ridiculous... CBCOOLEST... your question is unanswerable....

In my opinion, this thread should be terminated...

Asking an online community of individuals to give you a judgement on people of a certain nationality is bordering on ignorant. All political correctness aside, every person is different... make your own judgements.

Mike.

I agree with mike. That is just being sterotypical I mean I was asked as a kid if people from Texas rode horses to school. But yea No two people are alike. and You cant judge a book by its section of the library.

I don't know Darkie, I can pretty much judge that I want nothing to do with any books from the "understanding menopause" section of the library.
