As I said earlier, before the hanging, that I generally avoid discussing politics, but this whole thing is bothering me...

Please PLEASE don't think I'm sympathizing with Saddam or his actions... IF he is guilty of what we are told he has done, than he should have been imprisoned in the most horrible hole for the rest of his natural life. (I don't believe in the death penalty)

But it's nagging at me; the facts are that we were told he had WMD's hidden and he did not, we were told that he used Chemical Weapons during the Gulf War, and now there is debate about that, we heard he provided safe harbor for terrorists and funded their operations, yet he did not... So why do we believe so emphatically that he is guilty of genocide? Why did the U.S. fight so hard to rush his execution so quickly? Why were his lawyers assassinated, repeatedly? Why was a clearly pre-judicial judge not removed from the bench? Why does a proud democratic society like the US allow such injustice to befall a man they so resoundingly report as guilty?

Is it at all possible that there is something being covered up and swept under the carpet? Could Saddam possibly be less guilty than the US Government and the Jewish Media report? Keep in mind that no one holds less contempt or hate for Saddam's regime than the Jewish community... the same community that controls better than 98% of all newspapers and television networks in North America.

I'd rather see a man removed from his King's Lifestyle... his power and pride removed... and see him live in a concrete box for 40 years than to ever have to face the guilt that MAYBE, just maybe, we aren't being told the truth, and a man hanged to death based on lies and public opinion.

The timeline is this: George Bush Sr. goes to war in Iraq to stop Saddam's genocide.... he serves his full two terms in office. Clinton gets elected to office, ends the war in Iraq, nearly solves the problems in Afghanistan and is possibly the best president the US has had since Kennedy... but instead of focusing on the good he was doing, the Republican controlled media manipulates the public into Impeaching him for extra-marital affairs ( really a private matter) and Bush Jr. becomes the president! Keep in mind that more people in the U.S. voted against Bush than for him, but because of the way the electoral system works, Bush becomes the first president in history to win even though he loses the popular vote. (Nevermind that the whole thing came down to a total recount in Florida, a state governed by Jeb Bush -- George's younger brother). And within 14 months, the US is back in Iraq.

Is this all just coincidence or is their just a possibility that there is more at play here than we are being told?

I can't condemn a man to death until I have all the answers. And since I know that will never happen, I abhor the death penalty.

Mike.

I think it's more than just a possibility - I think it's a certainty!
