Final Fantasy XI Online Players?
Anyone play FFXI?
It's an amazing game, anyone who doesn't have it has a high-end PC or Ps2, GET IT! It's amazing and addictive.

I was hooked on Everquest personally for almost 2 years :P
I have a good friend that plays FFXI all the time and I went to his house to try it out -- Personally I didn't like it... guess I'm getting tired of those games

The game requires AT LEAST 2 weeks of getting used to before you can even have a fair judge. Too many people do not give it a chance.

Oh, that will happen with so many of these online games, I actually feel discouraged because I buy way more games than I play, I have 4 games still in the clear wrapping, some fo which I've owned 1 1/2 or 2 years. I have beaten like 2 of my games, own like 50.

Wow I found a topic of pepole who share the same interest!
Wow i've bene dying to ask, what graphics card do you all reccomend?
The offical web says Inveda FX (or something very similar sounding) and an ATI, or API or something like that...
But at the same time it only approves the ladder...so why is it reccomending somethign it isn't certified with? I don't know but my allowance was picked up so getting it isn't to far off in my future

If you're asking for top-end recommendations, the buck currently lies with the ATI Radeon X800Pro and the Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra. Both very high end and expensive solutions. My money personally is on the ATI solution - it is slightly slower than the Nvidia one, but it doesnt have a cooler that sounds like a hoover, and i've always found ATIs to have excellent image quality. Oh, and they don't have power supply issues like the Nvidia.

I would recommend a predator px1567854732737347 gx card. It has 1024mb mem and a clock speed of 4ghz!
We all share the same interests we are all geeks/13375

Well my FF friends, I'm going with the PS2 version. Between the RAM and the Graphics Card, its going to be a pretty penny out of my pocket and as it is now I can afford the PS2 one...
Now if I can just find a cheap PS2 Keyboard^^
Question:
What's up with this "All characters are the same until Level 50" thing I keep hearing?

Actually just quit playing (now playing CoH), work/fun ratio was too high. Spent about 30-50k per lvl on Ninja Tools and Shurikens (Lvl49 Ninja). It's a good game, just a bit too much work for money.
If you could, expand on what you mean about that lvl 50 quote. If you meant it literally, then it is totally wrong.
I ran it on a Sapphire 9600 Pro, and it was fine, no slowdown.

Like if you have a White Mage Mithraa, ALL white mage mithraa's, minus the weapons, we bill the same in all areas, like...oh I can't really explain it.
It just made it sound like your stats all go up a set amont in such a way where your basically the same character like everyone else of your race and class. Until a certain event. The word customization came up.

That is somewhat corect, because your base stats will be the same most likely. But gameplay in FFXI relies heavily on equipment and the skill of the player. So despite characters being very similar number wise, the players skill is very important.
Another difference between characters is that you have skill points for the different types of magic you cast. They increase the more you cast the related types of magic. Such as casting Healing Spells will increase your Healing Skill Points. I am not sure of all the magic types, but maxing your skills can increase your potential a lot.

Maxing ur skills will make the game alot easier for you and set u apart from other players, thier are actually sum enemies i cant even hit without a max skill level, ur sub job is another thing that sets u apart a gd combination of sub job and main boosts ur stats and hopefully skills as well,e.g. my lvl 65 monk/ 32 thief. though thinking of switching to mnk/samurai
hmmm any thoughts
