Warning Regarding Viruses

I'm not sure if you've gotten this but I've gotten 5, yes FIVE e-mails containing an attachment (virus/keylogger).

Do not open these. They seen like they're really really common.

The topics:
Hi Darling (regarding a porn picture)
Hehe... (regarding a porn picture)
SoBig Update (claims the virus is out there again and they will provide you a program to get rid of it)
You Sent me a Virus! (person claims you sent him the SoBig virus and he wants you to get rid of it opening his attachment)
Virus Program (this guy is an idiot, he claims he has a anti-virus program in his attach which was a .EXE file)

Basically DON'T open attachments. This is a warning.

If an attachment has an odd file extension you don't know of don't open it. If it has a .exe file I can guarantee it's a virus of some sort. The .exe file stands for executable. Basically, when it's open it executes whatever it's programmed to do, hence the name.

I just felt I'd like to share this warning with you.

Keep safe and virus free.

My computer has a virus now, and I frankly don't care. It's damage is low and I don't have the time ot deal with it. I should get rid of Kazaa and start letting norton scan mail though. Anyway, I'm probably getting an ew computer for birthday..here are specs that I want and will probably get..

3.2 Ghz P4
1536 MB DDR Ram
19" Flat Monitor (Not LCD flat back, just flat glass for no glare, LCD isn't good for games still.)
Audigy 2ZS Platinum 5.1 Sound Card (Sound Blaster)
5.1 Speakers with Sub-Woofer
nVidia GeForce FX5900 128MB Video Card

Not bad, eh?

I considereing going Mac, but I'm still scared of the thought that I'd have to re-buy many programs and many programs are not mac compatable. anyway, what I'm on now:

1.6 Ghz P4
512 DDR
17" Toshiba Monitor
nVidia Geforce2 64mb Card
Weak Sound card, and merely decent speakers.

http://securityresponse.symantec.com...r/vinfodb.html

That's a good site to find a list of the latest viruses.

They have good instructions on removing them, as well as articles telling you what the viruses do and how some of them work.

There was another site but I forgot what it was. Sorry.

Wow why so many? Make sure it isn't spy ware.

Search your computer using both AdAware and SpyBot Search and Destroy, just to make sure.

Heh, a computer is like a baby. It's required that you take care of it.

I love my computer. I do what I can to maintain it.

Always defragment your computer every once in a while, clear your internet cookies, history, and files to. It helps.
