Working

Well, since finding biorust, I've come across a LOT of helpful tools to clean up photos I've already finished. I'm really loving the Photoshop Actions, saves a LOT of time.

Don't have anything spectacular to show yet, I'm still trying to get the hang of these tutorials, my metal with blood doesn't look anything like it should.

Still pretty cool. I can't find any decent scratch brushes.

One thing you could try is to apply a very slight Emboss to your blood drops (with the Bevel and Emboss layer style) to give them more of a 3D look.

There are also quite a few "brushed metal" effect tutorials around, too. It's a very quick and easy effect to apply.

I've got some good scratch brushes - I'll see if I can remember where I got them from.

yeah, the scratching of the metal wasn't what I had trouble with, it was the blood actually. I couldn't get it to layer right AND I couldn't find the write spatter brush.

Just lost my laptop. *plays funeral bugle tune* "Another one bites the dust..."

I have to get all my brushes and stuff again. It's a pain to hunt all of it down again.

Do you mean the disk crashed, or did you "mislay" the whole machine? Either way, that sucks - I've got dozens of brushes and plugins and stuff and I'd hate to have to try and replace all of them again. [Note to self: back up Presets folder immediately!!]

Yes, the laptop, the body itself is screwed. The video driver (the actual physical driver not the software that makes it work) is busted. I had to backup everything I could and then reformat my laptop harddrive. *sigh* now I have to get all my brushes back *cries*
