Funny Shoutbox Posts!

You can't help but to laugh when you read some posts in the shoutbox. The idea of this topic is simple, copy and paste a quote in the shoutbox and give some background information and explain the quote.

Here's mine:

Most surprisingly, this design started life as a cereal packet. It then changed... a lot...

Heh! Well, when I started designing Biorust v2, I decided to embark on a unique idea - building an interface around a giant household object (think Micro Machines). In practice, however, this ended up posting tons of problems, and it eventually ended up as the Modern Newspaper design, which was later canned...

Lol, very true! I really wanted to go the whole hog, with things moving around the box, the occasional visit by a dog, etc. Then I realized that its pretty much impossible without using oooodles of flash (which i'm rather pants at). Still, its a good idea for a future design/client I guess...

The newspaper idea is a cool concept, but it looks so hard to maintain. I'm glad you choose the current v2 layout. It looks so nice.

Yeah, newspaper looked hard to maintain.. but.. very original. I like original. But none the less, you have original right here.

Anyway, aren't we a little off topic? I don't have any funny shoutbox things because.. I haven't read it.. lol..

Not many.. but.. wouldn't you agree that it could become a problem as more and more users show up?

Well, most of our topics are discussions. We start with one thing then mention another and a whole new discussion get going.

It's okay. I've learned a lot about people and it's made the community more interesting.

Who cares. As long as nobody spams like this:
Wow
Cool

(One word posts) I think we're fine. When those become common it's a huge problem.

Yeah, that's true. I don't know though, the Moderators could split the topics when need though.

I'd rather not. It's part of the conversation.

If it gets way off topic or a flame war erupts that's a whole other matter.

I think I will do the same. (On my boards of course.)
