Photoshop Portable

hello guys i have a version of photoshop that is portable for USB Driver not install need just run the .exe if anybodu are interting in this please let me know.

in rar file 40MB unpack 80MB on disk. how does it work you dont need to install the photoshop just run a file called Portable_PS_8.exe and the software open.

I downloaded the portable version of CS about 2 hours ago and copied it to a 256m usb flash drive. It works just fine. Then I loaded it up with plugins and presets, works fine. then I copied it to my desktop, fully loaded, opened it from there, works just fine. It doesn't have Image Ready. I didn't need it, I have CS2 but I'll keep it on my flash drive anyway, you never know. This whole thing blows me away....Why have I been spending all this money???. I don't think it could be illegal, There's no registry issue, it doesn't even show up anywhere if you do a search. It's not a Gimp clone it's honest to God PSCS with everything the registered version has.

I've been doing some research on this, and I don't think there is an "official" download. This is because Portable Photoshop CS is not a "portable" application in the strictest sense of the term. A truly "portable" application (as I understand it) should run entirely from a USB stick or other removable device. Portable Photoshop will run quite happily from such a device BUT when you first run it, it attempts to write to the registry of the machine on which you are running it. When you remove the USB stick, the registry settings remain. If the user does not have write permissions on the target machine's HDD, it won't run at all.

Although there are perfectly legal portable applications available, I think you'll find most of them are open source (e.g. Firefox, OpenOffice etc.). I think the fact that Portable Photoshop isn't a truly portable application (for the reasons stated above) calls its legality into question.

I'm still left behind when it comes to portable applications. I would be interested in something like this, but it were to break any terms & conditions, or worse, then I'd avoid at all costs. If I get caught with something illegal going onto someone elses PC I'm as good as screwed lol
