Unhappy Inane

Does anyone have any idea on what technique does paintpixel or Anbupawn (they're the same person) use when painting naruto covers? I try mixing colors for a realistic touch, but it ends up messy

lol i like naruto..

da best idea i wood use would be doing color layer by layer then fooling with the blending options. thats what i do
