Photoshop is fun...there's so much to learn... and you never become fully learned... I spent 12 years around this program, and it never stops to amaze me.

At first it would be good to avoid using plugins. Most plugins just gives you shortcuts on how to achieve something and when you are learning the thing it might be a good idea to do everything by yourself. Of course there are plugins which do something you even can't do otherwise but for basics you should stick to the default options until you are more familiar with them. Just my opinion.

Please ask if you have difficulties with some certain thing. We are more than happy to help you if we can.

A great to place to find styles, shapes, tutorials. I know it's not specifically what you asked for, but it might come in handy later on.

Naw, I dont think Photoshop is hard to get used to. Its very friendly.

When my Photoshop went down (due to RAM), I had to find a replacement software. I tried Gimp since its a freeware and few computer based magazines reckoned it to be as good as PS.

Gimp was very difficult to use. I gave up and uninstalled it. I used Imageready instead. lol.

Smile agreed

Photoshop is both difficult AND hard at same time. Interesting paradox. I've mastered many of the basic simple things. The whole Styles and layer styles etc are new to me and I'm learning.
