Recently I stumbled upon a blog. Everything seems normal, but then the guy decides to give out his phone number?! That may be okay if it was some sort of business, however, it was a blog. Kind of useless. In fact, within a few minutes I can pin point exactly where he lives. His address, etc. I could get a satellite view of his house, and obtain information about his history. Kind of scary isn't it?
I know there are more examples, but that's all I can think of.
So, post away. I know you've seen someone do something on the internet that makes you want to hit your head on the wall.

Just wondering, how would you come along finding out someone's location from their phone number?

Tons of sites out there. They all do the same thing, as Alex said.

Actually you can find some that give more information about the person than the address, I believe.

Basically, the more information you want the more it will cost you. Some sites if you a tid-bit of information, the rest you have to pay for.
Any how, let's get back onto topic.

Did you both get the proxy lists? I sent them a while ago.
And as for stupidity on the Internet - it's everywhere! For example, most people who have an LJ post their home addresses publicly, which is daft in the extreme. Also, people who click on the "Unsubscribe" message in spam must be a sandwich short of a picnic.

Yes, I got the lists. I have no real use for them since my Web Design class is over. I don't really go to the library at school much, so I don't really need them. Thanks though!
