Windows Vista

Command shell technology and enhanced security notwithstanding, what's the deal with Vista? 512 MB DDR2 RAM minimum recommended? 128 MB graphics card?? Otherwise, it looks and runs like crap? The goons over at Microsoft need to rethink this, there should be some way to reduce the requirements. Not all of us own Crays, ya know..

If I remember correctly, the all-singing-all-dancing interface will be optional. If you have an incompatible or slow system you'll be able to run in a reduced mode which will make it look like 2000/XP... or even further, where you can make it look like 95/98 (god forbid).

My point exactly. Remember, you are paying atleast double the price of XP. Atleast, that's what I read...

Double?!?!? AIEEE - and I thought that WinXP was expensive! I wouldn't mind if it did everything that I wanted and updated all your system drivers as new ones came out... but it doesnt... and probably will never do either! :/
