How do you increase your reputation points

I am fairly new to the site (well new member of the site) and I was wondering how you go about increasing your reputation points. I have searched the site and can't seem to come up with a way to do so.

Reputation can be added by other members when you post well thought out posts and complete posts.

You will get reputation points when you submit a tutorial as well.

And just as a bonus, you can get 5 reputation points for winning the skyscraper pic contest over at : http://forums.biorust.com/showthread.php?t=2366 (Skyscraper Ad Needed)

I agree with Bub on this one. Reputation is something you earn by being a little angel with other members or by contributing to the community as a whole. As a general principle, I steer clear of giving reputation myself - its the users who will decide if they love you or not!

how come you cant add another rep to a user that has helped you out more than twice? it says to keep spreading.. ??

To prevent abuse the reputation system doesn't let you credit somebody repeatedly. You need to give +rep to 3 people before you can hit the same person again...

No human, of course... but I have a plug-in that reports suspicious behavior like that. Patterns in reputation coverage are easily detected - after all, by its very nature reputation tends to be quite random...
