i suggest downloading the BlueSfear Font Pack. it costs $1 for the bandwidth paid by paypal, so if you or any of your friends or relations or anyone you know has a paypal account this is a great font pack, there are 2361 fonts in it (62.3mb). for more info:

fonts

There are tons of free font sites out there - I've been doing graphic design for quite awhile, and sometimes when I'm looking for the perfect font, I can spend hours just looking at all the different ones. You can do a google search for "free fonts", and that will give you tons of sites. One of my favorites is http://www.1001freefonts.com/ You can buy the whole 3300 font set for $9.95 or browse through them and download individual fonts for free. Happy hunting!

LMAO ...

I have about 2200 fonts, but how many barely noticeably different versions of Times Roman does one need?

Yeah, well, having a lotta fonts seriously slows down your bootup time with XP. Fonts are always preloaded during bootup. You guys must have, like, serious bootup issues. I have only 1200 fonts and it still takes over 4 minutes for my PC to boot!

I must agree with Heruka there - if you are gonna go for mega font packs, make sure that you install some kind of font manager or something. Having them all loaded will seriously eat resources and add massively to system lag.

Personally, I prefer this site above all else:

http://www.dafont.com/

There's -lots- of fonts there, but I would give you a single tip here, don't go on a downloading spree unless you -ab-so-lute-ly- find the font mandatory/a must need. :[ It can seriously slow down your computer, as others have already said. xD; [[ Heck, mine lags too sometimes especially when I open Adobe. Sooo many fonts!~ ]]
