I prefer VLC for everything. Just makes it easier to use one clean program as opposed to having a separate program for every different format. Also, I've yet to find something that winamp/windows media player could play that VLC couldn't, however ive seen the reversed situation many times.

Indeed, especially for video files, VLC is amazing. I have yet to not be able to open a file with the VLC Player. The only issue I have with it is it's subtitle overlaying. They should allow for more customization for the way they look. eh...I'm off topic now. It is also nice for audio though as well.

I generally use iTunes if im going to be working at my computer desk, however If im not at my computer, I use the Creative Media Player for music, video, movies and pretty much anything and everything else...the program is kinda of plain, and sometimes goes retarded and locks up but the remote on my soundcard lets me control from accros the room. (lazy factor counts for alot in my book)

itunes was exactly what i wanted when i was looking for a new mp3 player - being that i wanted a fullscreen file browser. only problems are it's a bit slow because of the mac interface and my slow processor/not much ram. winamp was slower though, although i like the ability to have that little bar up the top of your screen with the MM3 skin.

windows media player was never a choice for me...

I've never used iTunes or anything, personally. [[ Mostly I've used Windows Media Player, Winamp, and Realplayer. ]]

I like Winamp best because it plays all file types, even the weird .mp3 extensions that Windows Media Player .. refuses to play for some odd reason. I have lots of video on my computer but most of the time I only use audio files, so .. >_> This works just fine for me.

Windows Media Player I'd rather just use it for videos, since... -Winamp- refuses to play the actual video. Why? No clue. But since that's pretty rare, it's not open all that often.

Realplayer.. I just didn't like.

yep, winamp still in first place.. that's the way it should be! :P actually im using winamp less and less nowadays.. more than to find some nice trancetunes to go dumb as a peanut on :P Using my mp3 mostly.. a little easier even tho it's eating up tons of batteries.. well, got the money so its not a big problem

I use iTunes on a daily basis but I also use Winamp. I suppose I'm somewhat of a fence sitter on this one of who remains supreme. Though I will admit my iTunes is the currently most used.

Pfft....I use Windows Media Player and I keep track of my...2249 tracks just fine. xD (I only listen to about 1,000 of them though, because the other 1,200 are 70s, 80s, 90s, and country music my brother and family have put on here. xD Wierdos...1,000 is plenty for me though). WMP also makes me able to show all my sexy people on my MSN what kind of music I'm listening to at the moment, although I'm sure other media programs have plug-ins for MSN Messenger too.

ive got 2500ish songs which i listen to regularly, and windows media player can't handle the numbers like itunes.

p.s. itunes shows what you're playing on msn messenger too :P

I like Windows media player only because it does what I want it to do. Some of the other programs seem to bog my computer down.
