right, i posted a few things in this guys coding section:

a while ago he moved servers, and everything got reset, he posted them again, but he used his own name, and didnt mention anywhere that i had originally posted them. i posted a couple of posts saying how it was ripping etc... i was pissed off so i used a bit of profanity... what does he do? completely changes my posts to say "Put my name up please

" or some thing like that, and puts my name at the top.

dissatisfied i sent him a PM politely asking him to take down the posts, guess what he does. bans my username, and they are still there.

is this considered ripping?

If he was making out that he had writen the tutorial and wasn't giving credit where credit is due then it is ripping. I think the edit of your post was a bit off as well it makes it seem that you were begging to him. If it was me I would of removed the profanities and given you a warning but completely editing your post so that other forum users wouldn't think badly of me, that I wouldn't do. The banning sounds pretty out of order. All you were doing was making sure your hard work was credited to you.

they were code scriptlets, kind of tutorials. i asked him to take them off and he banned me... i want something done about that so i'm talking to people that know him.

i dont know either, but i assume it was because i asked him to take them off, the specific threads were all 3 php threads posted in the code part that calipso posted, he only put my name on them after i sent him a couple of posts...

I will send him a notice asking if he would remove them, since you are the author, you retain rights to them, unless it is specifically stated otherwise (I have ran a few quite poplar forums in my time, and learned quite a lot)..

If he fails to reply, I will consult with S2f and M0g futher on possibilities of how we can help, if we can (I do believe we try to remain neutral in this situation)..
