Firefox 1.0PR

Well the preview release for the final 1.0 version of Firefox is out. You really should download it, as there a couple cool new features (the best being RSS detection) as well as a bunch of bugfixes. It really runs ALOT smoother.

Being a user of firefox from way back when it was called pheonix, I can say that as software it has really evolved in the past few months. If you've been paying attention, Internet Explorer's percentage of use has dropped quite a bit.

I know this is old news but the forums are really starting to slow down for whatever reason.

So lets discuss firefox again. Seriously. Post about aything related!

Firefox is cool, but I'm still a hardcore Opera user. I guess i'm just stuck in my ways.

Yea, opera is cool. Do you purchase or use the free version?

I use Firefox .9.3 (too lazy to upgrade) and have really enjoyed it. My favorite feature is a simple one -- that little search bar to the right of the url bar. I use Yahoo as my homepage because I like to read the news when I open it up, but now searching Google is more easy than ever
As for extensions, the only one I use is the Web Developer one. It's so nice to have all of those options right there for easy access. Makes troubleshooting the few websites I've done since I've run Firefox go much quicker as I can find the source of the problem.
All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with Mozilla Firefox. It's a great web browser no matter who you are =P

I use the full version Ev! It was surprisingly cheap for something I use all the time really. I think Firefox has star quality too BTW - the only thing it lacks is the auto-completing wand tool that I find amazingly-useful for navigating forums and the Biorust control systems.

I actually went over to Mozilla and looked at the changes with 1.0 and ended up upgrading after I posted that. I don't really notice any changes in it yet compared to .9.3, but all I ever do is surf the net anyway, so not many changes for me just looking around
I still agree that it's a very nice web browser

...although it has a silly, silly name. It's slow like nothing in the world to start up, but once it gets going, its far superior to IE etc.
