Image Loading

Hi all, my title may not be right but what i realy want to know is how to making a loading effect i.e when a graphic is loading you see a sign-like meter reading the parcentage loaded and parcentage left.
hope i explained enough for somebodyb to understand

I would also recommend you taking a look at free opensource flash preloader component, which may simplify the loading process for you instantly.
It's pretty simple to use. If you want to load an image - you may place preloader instance at a stage and provide the path to image in the parameters and it will be automatically loaded, displaying a loading animation, which you also can simply customize. So you need to write no code at all to load your images and have a preloader for them.

Next to the fact that I dont think this reply will be recieved by the author,

isnt is better to make your own preloader, and understand its inner mechanism. Than to copy someone elses and hope it works in your case?
