Masking is pretty obvious. If not there is a plethora of tuts on the net. Moving shapes can be done with tweening or of course actionscript. Try www.actionscripts.org

Im guessing you know what motion tweening is. All the techno-shiz stuff on that site was made by tweening (or very advanced actionscript but i doubt that). Use your imagination. Its easy. Be sure to set fps at 30 and try to do something chaotic. Or try to reproduce effects from that site.
