Women In Art

I know very little about motion graphics - what software would have been used to create this?

Well, I think it is something like adobe aftereffects or so, but im not completly sure. There are multiple ways to achieve such an result, but Agentxi has the most experience(remember the moving wheat?) so asking him would probably give you a better result

Actually, I've been doing a bit of searching and I think it was made with an application called FantaMorph: Abrosoft FantaMorph - Image Morphing Software for Creation of Morphing Pictures and Animations

I have a question,
"what do you get an encyclopedia for Christmas."

well I guess Tamlin beat me to it. Yes, they used the program Fantamorph. I remember having to do these exercises in school, except we didn't use a program. Each student in the class would make up a character, then we would exchange drawings with the person beside you, and try and morph your character into theirs. I going to have to say it was harder than using Fantamorph that's for sure lol.

nice find Tamlin.

So anyway, I've been having a play around with FantaMorph - I made this from four stock photos I just happened to have knocking around my hard drive:

Morph Test

It's a bit crude because I used the wizard, but it only took about 30 seconds to make.

heh, nice man

with some manual tweakage, you could really make some nice morphs

looks like they use masking tools as well, to localize the morphing. Can't wait to see what you come up with

Yeah - when I've got some spare time (!) I'm going to have a go with some of my own photos.

I finally got around to making a movie with FantaMorph, using my own photos. The only problem is that even in MPG format, it's HUGE! (25.8Mb, which I think seems much larger than its 2 min 13 sec length should warrant).
As I mentioned earlier, motion graphics and video are a complete mystery to me, so if anyone can suggest any means of compressing this video further without too much loss of quality, I would be very interested.

Anyhow, for those with extra-fast broadband connections (or lots of time on their hands), the link is here: http://www.waterden.net/stuff/facesofstone.mpg

I believe you need to change the quality of sound. When it comes to sound for a project like this you can probably take the sample quality down without seeing a huge difference in quality. try using values like and audio bitrate of 22kbps and sample rate of 22kHz. And just because it's an audio sound track with nothing fancy like sound FX tracking from left to right, or front to back, you could probably get away with using audio as mono.

just for fun, try rexporting the video without any audio at all, and see what file size you can get to.

and on a side note you could probably get away with exporting the video at 320x240, but mind you, this is a image quality sensitive video, so I probably wouldn't unless you really want to bring the file size down.

Would you mind posting what codec and compression settings you used? Quicktime has a codec called H.263 which really does a nice job at compressing file sizes down.

*edit* oh and btw, the video is pretty sweet nice job on the morphing!

yeah so out of curiosity I tossed your file in Dr.Divx, and downsampled the audio and changed the video codec to H.263 and got the file size down to 10.7mb's

which you can check out here.

Hey - thanks for that! You've done a pretty good job of compressing the video. I can tell a difference in the audio, but the video doesn't seem to have lost any quality.

I'm afraid I haven't a clue about these - I just used the default "MPEG Export" option in Movie Edit Pro (I warned you I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this kind of thing!)

Hmm..odd. Have you tried saving the file to your computer and playing it from there? How about agentxi's AVI version - any luck with that?

Also had some problems with this file, but after downloading. I opened it in different players. And VLC player. seems to work best!
Thanks for your suggestion Tam. Also thanks for the fixed URL
So here is my TRY
This is in lowest quality, but still almost 15 mb. Donīt know how to reduce file size, but flash-player seem to work.

The music only works in I.E for some reason!
