The new flash player

I'm having trouble installing it. That's pretty much it. Any help?

Well the problem is that i go to the download page and do what ever it tells to do and install and then it completes the install, but it still doesn't work. :P
I use windows xp. And i have already figured out it's just my IE problem not my comp problem (works fine in FF and no thanks to why-ff-is-better lectures) and i'm probably going to re-install IE in the next couple of days.

ohh... well... sorry I can't help more on that line of issues... I am on a mac and use Safari and FF only. I will spare you the lectures...

hope the new IE install fixes it for you though... maybe make sure you have the latest version for XP as well

turvas:
According to the Adobe website there are a number of reasons why your Flash player isn't working in IE.
  1. If you're using a Restricted User account, you may not be able to see Flash content (although I suspect this isn't the case for you).
  2. Websites that use VBScript detection for Flash Player may fail in IE.
  3. You have pop-up/ad blocking software installed which is targeting Flash.
  4. You have a firewall or other type of Internet security software that is not allowing ActiveX controls to run in IE.

Don't know if you've checked out any or all of these yet, but it might give you some ideas.

Those 4 (especially the first) are surely out of the picture. As soon as i find my "Big important box" (the box where i keep all my install cds is lost... AGAIN) i'm going to just reinstall IE. And if that doesn't work then i guess it's regediting time.

So since you want to be spared the "FF is better than IE" comments, can I at least tell you why Macs are better than PCs?? ;-)

Well i guess you can. As long as after you're done i can tell you why PCs are better than Macs.
But i guess we all prefer our own.

try this: go to internet toolbar, click Tools>internet options>security>trusted sites>type https://name of download site then click Add. also check that your security setting is either medium or medium-high.
