attaching keystrokes to frames in flash
I am looking up how to attach a "keystroke" to play a movieclip or go to a frame in the timeline. So for example I want to hit "a" on the keyboard, flash will play a certain movieclip if i want to see another movieclip i could hit "b" and so on...
I am unsure as to what it is called or what to start my actionscript as... Does anyone have any ideas or resources that can help me out it would be very much appreciated...

okay so i found out a bit more about this, but I am still having issues about creating a "gotonextframe" when a key is pressed

right now i'm just wanting the timeline to go to the next frame in the timeline.

so if it's on frame 1, I want to press RIGHT arrow button and it advances to frame 2 and if you press LEFT arrow button it will go back by 1 frame.

Event Handler Script for Mouse Events in Flash MX

maybe that tut wil help, they are loading a specific frame(or scene) if you hover over/ out, press, release, release outside a button or press the "e" key on you keyboard.

I think the last one is the on that cna help you out....

It's not 100% ready yet but coming close. I think


hmm, i can't seem to attach the flash file, when i have some time i'll post up my working file on my ftp and send a URL
